E93 Deal (Flynae)

Flynae throws her arms around Kovad’s presence in her mind as he leans to pick her up and carry her to their meadow. Her body trembles in his arms. She nuzzles her face into his neck and fills in how delicious he probably smells while he imagines holding her.

Images of past fantasies flash through her mind. It had been a habit to rely on these. As her mind brings pictures of Kovad kissing her front and center for them both to see, her physical ears and cheeks burn with embarrassment.

It’s okay, Kovad whispers to her. There is no need to be ashamed. You were only doing what you needed to. You did nothing wrong.

She strokes his neck with her fingertips and experiences the shivers that course through his physical body with him.

Kovad sits down on the ground in the meadow and holds her close. To ease her discomfort, he distracts her with images of sunsets, starry skies, and fireworks.

Flynae gazes into his eyes. Everything here is just memories and fantasy, right?

He recognizes she wants a specific response. There’s a bargaining tone to her thoughts. Without knowing the motive behind the question, he doesn’t want to give a definite answer. Mostly. Why?

This place is only as real as our ability to focus on the other’s thoughts and projections. If one of us chooses not to participate, then it all goes poof. Her mental form jerks as her body responds to a stabbing agony in her core.

Kovad tightens his hold around her, not wanting her to be distracted by what is happening outside her mind.

That sounds like a fair explanation. Why don’t you tell me what you want, Flynae? You don’t need to dance around it.

She tenses and presses into him, hiding her face. Because I can’t handle it if you reject me.

Overwhelmed by her deepest need, Flynae shakes with sobs. She’s crying in her mind and physically. With her next breath, she smells the Emperor’s glee. Oh, gods. Why can’t I keep myself under control, she scolds herself.

Kovad pulls her chin up so Flynae’s looking up at him. Right here. Be with me right here and nowhere else, okay?

She nods and refocuses.

It’s not a rejection. He pauses, closes his eyes, and sighs. I would never reject you. That was only a delay, baby. You have no idea how badly I want to smother you with kisses.

Flynae continues to watch him, knowing he isn’t finished.

Every time you thought about me kissing you or even asked me to, I’ve noticed how your body tenses. It might always scare you or make you nervous. But I don’t ever want to be responsible for a negative experience.

When he stops talking, she drops her head. So not even here?

What’s the full thought, baby? I can’t read your mind unless you think it. He squeezes her for encouragement.

Would you kiss me here? In our place?

Kovad’s chest tightens into knots as he can’t help but remember what is happening. She’s asking him for a kiss while the Emperor is raping her.
